How To Samba With Suse 10.1 And Windows XP
works with openSuSE 10.3 as well!
Don't forget to...
...if you want to mount and unmount shares with CIFS. By default,
browsing the network will not work with smb4k (or smb:/ via Konqueror).
If you already know the IP address of the share, e.g. 192.168.1.54,
you can `search' for that IP address in smb4k's Search Dialog, after
which that share will then appear next time you press the `scan computer
(refresh)' button on smb4k's network browser. Otherwise, you will
need to punch some holes through the firewall.
