Webcam - Logitech QuickCam Fusion (USB ID 046d:08c1 Logitech, Inc)

Not supported by the default Linux 2.6.18 kernel. It is supported by the Linux UVC driver, a Video4Linux2 (not video4linux) driver. I downloaded these files using subversion, but I think it is possible to download the required files with the web-browser. Then, as root, run `Make' and `Make install' to compile and install the uvcvideo module. `Make install' does not move the module to the /usr/lib/ tree, you could try...

install -c -m 0644 uvcvideo.ko /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/usb/image

/sbin/depmod -ae

kdetv can use Video4Linux2, but seems rather crash-prone. ekiga, a telephone/video-telephone program formerly called gnomemeeting, can now use video4linux2 (v4l2). Ekiga for SuSE 10.2 is available from the packman repositories, but seems to be very crashprone as well!
