Webcam - Logitech QuickCam Fusion (USB ID 046d:08c1 Logitech, Inc)

Not supported by the default Linux kernel. It is supported by the Linux UVC driver, a Video4Linux2 (not video4linux) driver. At the moment, just three files need to be downloaded (Makefile, uvcvideo.c and uvcvideo.h), either using the web-browser or via subversion. Then, as root, run `Make' and `Make install' to compile and install the uvcvideo module. `Make install' does not move the module to the /usr/lib/ tree, you could try...

install -c -m 0644 uvcvideo.ko /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/usb/image

/sbin/depmod -ae

kdetv can use Video4Linux2, but seems rather crash-prone. Various programs, such as ekiga, only use v4l (not v4l2) in the default SuSE installation. You need to install pwlib-plugins-v4l2.
