Can be recognised either as a modem, or a USB storage device, depending on the V3x's own settings.
I have only used the V3x as a storage device. Only a memory card, a mini-SD card, can be accessed as a storage device. USB transfer is very slow, it is easy to pull out the USB cable before a transfer is complete. `Safely removing' the device via KDE's `My Computer' window does not seem to be good enough. I would do a sync, and manually u(n)mount as root.
